Addressing the event, Political Commissar of the Vietnam Border Guard Command Lieutenant General Nguyen Anh Tuan affirmed that over the past time, the border guard youths have tried their best to heighten political stance, raise capability, overcome difficulties, and promptly implement training and combat readiness mission, fight crimes, and build political system at grassroots level. In addition, they also joined hands to make contribution to socio-economic development and poverty reduction in border areas, and building their typical and exemplary units.

Besides, the border guard youths have also actively found out measures and models to effectively conduct youth work, such as border youth controlling national borderline and border markers, border youths cleaning up maritime environment, paving the way to school for children, etc., bringing practical results to society.
These effective movements, models, and activities of the border guard youths over the past time have contributed to enhancing people’s trust to the Party, State, military, and border guards, building the firm people’s heart posture in border areas, and firmly protecting national sovereignty and border security.
At the ceremony, the Vietnam Border Guard Command honored ten outstanding young border guards and other ten promising young border guard faces in 2023.
