In his speech, Senior Colonel Le Duc Long, Director of the Southern Helicopter Company underlined that over 40 years of building and development, the company has overcome difficulties and challenges, and successfully completed all tasks.
As a defense-security enterprise, the company has strictly implemented the Party's guidelines on combining economy with defense-security and defense-security with economy, contributing to successfully completing the task of building and protecting the Fatherland.
With the correct strategic direction, the company has focused on building and developing a high-quality workforce, ensuring effective training and education, applying modern scientific and technological achievements, and expertise to business management.
Meanwhile, the company has excellently completed military and defense tasks, including combining commercial with observation flights to affirm national sovereignty over sea and islands; ensuring enough personnel and vehicles to be ready for unscheduled military tasks, and providing emergency medical services at sea, on islands, and the Southern continental shelf.

In his remarks, Lt. Gen. Pham Truong Son spoke highly of the company’s obtained achievements and required the unit to continue to effectively carry out political and ideological education, promote the “Studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morality and life-style” movement associated with the campaign “Promoting traditions, devoting talent, deserving to be Uncle Ho’s soldiers” in the new situation; and strictly implement higher levels’ resolutions, directives and instructions, and maintain combat readiness regulations.

The unit should effectively organize flights for special tasks, transportation, search and rescue operations, and medical evacuations, while actively applying science and technology, and digital transformation, as well as proactively investing in purchasing modern, dual-use aircraft and equipment to meet the task requirements.
