Dao Thi Chiu is a heroic Vietnamese mother in Ky Hoa commune, Ky Anh town, Ha Tinh province. Although she is over 90 years old, she still has a sound mind. Currently, she is living with her disabled niece and facing a number of difficulties.
Knowing about her situation, on national holidays and the lunar New Year, troops of Battalion 81 under Signal Brigade 134 always inquire after and present gifts to her family to ease her difficulties in daily life.
According to Lieutenant Colonel Tran Dinh Thanh, Political Commissar of Battalion 81, over the past time, the brigade has focused on educating troops to raise their awareness of the sacrifice and great contribution of policy beneficiaries. Therefore, troops should effectively carry out gratitude activities with highest responsibility.

Signal Brigade 134 is stationed across 17 provinces and cities. Grasping the guidelines and policies of the Party, State, and military, the brigade has paid much attention to conducting gratitude activities close to the reality of its agencies and units. The brigade has promoted dissemination and education among troops about the purpose, significance, and responsibility of troops in gratitude activities.
Senior Colonel Nguyen Van Luong, Political Commissar of Signal Brigade 134, underscored that the unit has pro-actively coordinated with local authorities and organizations in stationed areas to grasp policy beneficiaries’ situations, thereby well implement policies and gratitude activities via various creative models and measures.
In July, the brigade’s agencies and units jointly organized a series of gratitude activities, including exchanges and talks on traditional education, cleaning up, repairing, and offering incense at war cemeteries; visiting and presenting gifts to policy beneficiaries in the locality, among others.
