At the see-off ceremony

Vice Chairman of Khanh Hoa provincial People's Committee Dinh Van Thieu, representatives of leaders of provincial departments and sectors, leaders and chains-of-command of Naval Region 4 attended the event.

This annual activity, organized whenever the lunar New Year is coming, aimed to bring sentiments, belief, and simple but meaningful gifts bearing the Spring atmosphere of the mainland to troops and civilians in Truong Sa island district.

The activity showed the special attention of the Party, State, Ministry of National Defense and compatriots, people throughout the country for troops and people who are safeguarding the national maritime sovereignty.

In his speech, Rear Admiral Ngo Van Thuan, Political Commissar of Naval Region 4 stressed that the long-day voyage will take place in unfavorable weather conditions with strict observance of COVID-19 prevention regulations. However, with high resolve and high sense of solidarity, the crew-members of Naval Region 4 will overcome all difficulties to bring the delegation to the Truong Sa (Spratly) Islands in an absolutely safe manner and excellently complete the assigned missions.

Simple but meaningful gifts bearing the Spring atmosphere of the mainland will be presented to troops and civilians in Truong Sa island district.

During this voyage, Naval Region 4’s large ships by tonnage will carry basic necessities to present troops and islanders to ensure that they will have a cozy Tet.

Due to the complicated developments of the COVID-19 pandemic, all members of the delegation, including troops who will undertake duties in the Truong Sa Islands, and personnel of press and news agencies completed the regulated quarantine period before the departure time.
