Sailing vessel visits Con Dao
PANO – From May 13 to 15, the delegation on board Sailing Vessel 286 – Le Quy Don held a number of meaningful activities in Con Dao island district, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province.
The delegates paid tribute to fallen revolutionaries at Hang Duong Cemetery. The present generation of naval soldiers showed their respect for the great contributions and sacrifices of former generations of revolutionaries, including heroine Vo Thi Sau, for national independence, freedom, and peace, and happiness of the people.

Touring the relic of Con Dao Prison, the naval troops learned more about resilient fighting spirit of former imprisoned revolutionaries despite the enemy’s barbarous tortures.
During their stay, the mission paid visits to the Con Dao district’s Party Committee and People’s Committee, Radar Station 590 of Regiment 251 under Naval Region 2, and Con Dao Border Gate of the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Border Guard Command.
Previously, the sailing vessel and the mission on board successfully finished a sea training and visits to Indonesia and Singapore.
