While in Indonesia, the naval officers and sailors on the ship led by Naval Captain Nguyen Duc Nam, Deputy Director of the Vietnam Naval Academy, paid courtesy calls on the Vietnamese Embassy in Indonesia, the Vietnam Defense Attaché Office and Fleet 1 of the Indonesian Navy. The troops also met with the Deputy Governor of Jakarta and joined sports exchanges with Indonesian naval troops.

During the visit to Fleet 1 of the Indonesian Navy, Naval Captain Nam expressed his delight at the training results achieved by the unit, and thanked the leaders of the Indonesian Ministry of Defense for their support.

At his reception for the Vietnamese delegation, Deputy Governor of Jakarta Sutanto Soehodho briefed the guest on the organizational structure of the local authorities and challenges facing Jakarta in urban development. According to him, Jakarta and some major cities in Vietnam have some common problems, so they could cooperate and share experience for mutual development. Naval Captain Nam expressed his belief that the visit will contribute to promoting effective exchanges and cooperation for development and stability of the two countries as well as their militaries.

According to Colonel Nguyen Tuan Duc, Vietnamese Defense Attaché to Indonesia, the Vietnamese mission successfully implemented all plans and met all the set requirements of the visit.

The visit by Sailing Ship 286 - Le Quy Don brought good training and defense relations outcomes, Naval Captain Nam added.

He also appreciated the Vietnamese Embassy and the Vietnamese Defense Attaché Office in Indonesia for their coordination and support for the delegation during the visit.
