Quang Ninh armed forces help locals mitigate disaster’s consequences

PANO – Nearly 100 troops of the Quang Ninh provincial Military Command on July 6^th helped local people overcome consequences of the heavy and prolonged rain on July 5^th that flooded many areas.

Right after learning the situation, troops of the military command were sent to the areas to join locals to clear the mud brought by the heavy rain, especially areas in Bai Chay ward of Ha Long city and assisted people in low-lying areas to clean their houses.

The flooding on July 5^th affected a good number of households, and the worst hit are in Group 3, Residential Area 7 of Bai Chay ward. Some households were flooded with the water level up to 2m. However, the troops were present on time to help locals stabilize their lives.
