Particularly, units have obtained high results in training and exercises, and strictly maintained combat readiness duties. They have pro-actively teamed up with all-level party committees and authorities to keep a close watch on situational developments, address situations in a timely manner. In addition, they have well implemented external military service, firmly upheld the border of peace and stability, and conducted mass mobilization activities.
Military Region 5 has completed all preparations for a safe and economical New Year festival for troops.
In terms of industrial mobilization, Military Region 5 has made suggestions to the Ministry of National Defense to invest in industrial mobilization assembly lines, checked, approved and added military equipment to them according to regulations. It has also achieved all assigned targets and missions on industrial mobilization and trained the lines workers, ensuring safety.

Gen. Phuong asked Military Region 5 to improve training quality, pay attention to the spiritual and material life of its officers and soldiers.
He requested it to continue to study the Law on Defense Industry, Security, and Industrial Mobilization, point out difficulties, draw lessons, and exchange experience while implementing legal policies on defense industry and industrial mobilization to complete legal policies on these fields in the coming time.
On the occasion, N.A. Vice Chairman Tran Quang Phuong presented gifts and extended New Year greetings to the Military Region 5 Command.
