According to the command’s report, over the past time, the Hanoi Capital Command has effectively carried out the inspection work, citizen reception, and settlement of complaints and denunciation. Especially, despite the complicated developments of the COVID-19 pandemic, the unit completed all set inspection plan in 2021.

In particular, the Hanoi Capital Command conducted inspection of 11 units. The inspection focused on units’ implementation of defense mission following the Government’s Decree 168/2018/NĐ-CP, commanding officers’ responsibility for receiving citizens and settling complaints and denunciation, the building and implementation of policies for militia force, and implementation of regulations on financial work.
In the first quarter of this year, the unit conducted an unscheduled inspection of investment and procurement of medical supplies and management and use of funds for COVID-19 pandemic prevention and control. In 2021, agencies and units under the Hanoi Capital Command also hosted more than 2,100 citizens and received and dealt with 166 complaints in accordance with the law. In addition, legal work, administrative reform, discipline observance, and management and use of defense land have also been implemented with many positive results.
Speaking at the working session with the Hanoi Capital Command’s representatives, Senior Lieutenant General Vo Minh Luong praised the command for its thorough preparations for the inspection. He said that in the coming time the command should develop plan to address shortcomings pointed out by the visiting mission.
Together with continuing studying the Party’s guideline and State’s policies and law, the deputy defense minister asked the Hanoi Capital Command to focus on inspecting and examining sectors that are prone to negative activities.
The capital’s armed forces should promote law dissemination and education, maintain citizen reception and settlement of complaints and denunciation, and enhance troops’ political and ideological awareness and their material and spiritual life, General Luong added.
At the event, the deputy defense minister also asked MND’s functional agencies to give support to Hanoi Capital Command and take its proposals into consideration.
