The commendation was made during General Luong’s inspecting visit to the region on September 7.
General Luong, who is also head of Steering Committee 1389, and head of the Inspection Mission of the Ministry of National Defense, inspected Military Region 9’s performance of legal, judicial work, and 1389 work, and observance of State laws and military discipline.

Reportedly, since 2021, the Party Committee and Chain-of-Command of Military Region 9 have closely directed the judicial reform work in the armed forces of the region, gradual consolidation of personnel organization and operations of judicial, inspection, and legal agencies, implementation of inspection work, and kept a close watch on agencies and units’ political missions. They have also led the dissemination of laws in diverse and lively forms and contents, bringing in practical results.
Concluding the inspecting visit, General Luong praised the military region’s party committee and chain-of-command for their solidarity, unity, promotion of collective intelligence, concentration of leadership over fulfilment of duties.
He pointed out shortcomings that Military Region 9 needs to fix soon and asked the region’s leaders to pay due attention to the staff, employees and soldiers to ensure the completion of assignments for this year and unexpected duties.
The deputy defense minister also noted the improvement of quality of law dissemination and political and ideological education work as well as active grasping of situations, and control of violations and crimes from afar.
He also urged Military Region 9 to raise quality of investigation, prosecution, trial, and enforcement of judgments, to ensure that cases are handled with the right people, with the right crimes, in accordance with the law, and to limit omissions of crimes.
For the judicial, inspection and legal agencies of the military region, he asked them to actively boost coordination and information exchange with local authorities to prevent violations and crimes in an early manner and from afar.
