So far, the province has built 727 gratitude houses and repaired 311 houses for policy beneficiaries at a total cost of over VND 35 billion funded by the State budget; and spent VND 60 billion of the local budget in building and repairing 1,967 houses for revolution contributors in the province.

Meanwhile, the delegation from Khanh Hoa province included former prisoners of war. Tens of thousands of revolutionary soldiers nationwide were captured and imprisoned during the two national resistance wars against French colonialists and American imperialists. The unyielding and indomitable spirit of revolutionary war prisoners has become a symbol of Vietnamese revolutionary heroism. Now, many veterans still serve as good examples in production, and building the country; and the trustworthy support of the Party committees, authorities and local people.

At the meeting, on behalf of the Ministry of National Defense (MND) and the General Department of Politics, leaders of the Department of Policy expressed the gratitude of troops to Party organizations, authorities at all levels and people of Tien Giang and Khanh Hoa for their care and support for troops during the wars, as well as in the cause of national construction and development.
