* At Military Hospital 175, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Chi Vinh, member of the Party Central Committee, permanent member of the Central Military Commission, Deputy Defense Minister and Head of the Steering Committee for Vietnam’s participation in UN peacekeeping operations under the Ministry of National Defense, inspected the preparation work and mission accomplishment of the level-two field hospital and the implementation of external affairs of Military Hospital 175.

Hailing the achievements of Military Hospital 175, General Vinh asked that the field hospital be quickly put into operation after all equipment is provided and installed. Thorough preparations should be made to meet all requirements of the United Nations. Intensive and extensive training must be carried out while the field hospital is to quickly engage in search and rescue missions. Related MND agencies, Military Hospital 175 and the Vietnam Peacekeeping Center should closely work together to prepare for the debut of the field hospital as soon as possible.
* Working with the Government’s Cipher Board, Senior Lieutenant General Le Chiem, member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Defense Minister, was briefed upon the mission accomplishment of the unit over the past time. On behalf of the Central Military Commission and the MND, the general hailed the board’s achievements and stressed that it better implement its role to assist the State management over the sector. More focus should be paid to the education of law among its personnel, considering it the board’s core political education mission so that more effectiveness could be seen in the coming time.
Earlier the same day, Senior Lieutenant General Le Chiem inspected Jail T771 and noted that material and spiritual life of the unit’s staff should be further raised. The jail should also make more recommendations about the measures to reduce and prevent law infringement among troops to higher levels.
* The same day, Senior Lieutenant General Be Xuan Truong, member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Defense Minister led a MND delegation to inspect the implementation of technical work of the Chemical Corps.
Over the past years, the technical sector of the corps has well maintained the implementation of technical regulations and fulfilled all maintenance, service, storage, and repairs plans, ensuring good quality. Apart from that, the sector has paid due attention to doing research on the advancement of weapons and equipment and put into application highly-practical research proposals.
The MND leader hailed the corps’ achievements and hoped that in the coming time the corps would continue its good technical assurance, helping chemical troops well fulfill all assigned missions.
