At the meeting with representatives of Military Hospital 175 |
During the visit, the delegation was briefed on the hospital’s task performance in the first nine months of this year with a focus on its investment in new medical equipment and in building new medical facilities, including a trauma and orthopedics hospital and a 1,000 bed polyclinic.
General Don applauded the hospital’s staff for their all-out efforts to accomplish all assigned missions, especially their political task.
He asked the hospital to abide by the building and procurement regulations. He also requested relevant agencies to support the hospital in completing the construction of the above-mentioned facilities as planned and with high quality.
On same day, attending the “Determined to win” emulation congress of Dong Bac Corporation under the MND, Deputy Defense Minister Sr. Lt. Gen. Le Chiem valued the Corp.’s high determination, new models, new factors, and effective ways of doing business over the past five years.
The Corp. has brought into full play integrated strength, overcome difficulties and challenges to fulfill its production and business missions. Its coal output has increased year by year and the workers’ average income is over VND 13 million per month.
General Chiem directed the Corp.’s Party committees, chains-of-command, cadres, soldiers and workers to continue to embrace President Ho Chi Minh’s call for patriotic emulation, the Party’s guidelines, the State’s policies and laws, the Central Military Commission’s and MND’s instructions on production and business and emulation and rewards.
The unit should also bring into full play its good results, continue to promote the “Determined to win” emulation movement, gain more achievements, and further contribute to the military-building, defense-consolidation and national protection cause.
Also on October 17, a delegation from the General Department of Politics (GDP) of the Vietnam People’s Army, led by its deputy director Sr. Lt. Gen. Nguyen Trong Nghia worked with the Vietnam-Russia Tropical Center’s branch in the South.
Over the past years, the center has developed considerably and has become a tropical multi-sectoral science and technology establishment with high prestige in not only Vietnam and Russia, but also all around the world. This year, the center has carried out 22 technical projects and one technical mission which are under the Vietnam-Russia joint science research plan.
Addressing the meeting, General Nghia emphasized the center’s role as a major unit in international integration and defense relations. He asked the center to promote its potential, strength of knowledge, artificial intelligence, ability to make breakthroughs in doing scientific research, and applying and transferring technology to meet the requirements of military-defense missions and economic-purpose production.
He hoped that the center would create more high quality products and technologies to meet real demands and expand its partnership with other civilian and military science and technology agencies and units.
Also on the day, General Nghia also visited the staff of the Research, Application and Experiment Station under the center in Can Gio district, Ho Chi Minh City.
