Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Phuong Nam (center) inspects combat readiness in the Military Command of Bac Giang province.

Both units have developed combat readiness plans to defend the 13th National Party Congress and other assigned targets. In addition, they have organized personnel, weaponry, and equipment and ensured logistical and technical services for units with combat duties. Moreover, they have worked closely with local Party committees, authorities and armed forces to ensure local political security, social order and safety, and handle arising situations in a timely manner.

Having inspected these units’ combat readiness, fire-fighting and prevention work, General Nam highly valued their task performance and their preparation for the protection of the 13th National Party Congress and for the upcoming Lunar New Year (Tet) holiday.

General Nam asked them to continue embracing and realizing higher levels’ directives on combat readiness and organizing Tet holiday festivities for troops. He urged them to boost coordination with local forces to ensure local political security, organize more courses to hone troops’ mastery over assigned weaponry and equipment, give recommendations to local Party committees and authorities to deal with any arising issues, and ensure absolute safety for the 13th National Party Congress and for troops and barracks during the upcoming Tet holiday.

For the Military Command of Bac Giang province, General Nam requested it to double-check and devise more combat readiness plans, inspect its depots and fire-prevention work, give advice to local Party committee and people’s committee on effectively controlling COVID-19 and consolidating defense, and to all-level military service councils on 2021 enlistee handover ceremonies.
