* Politburo member, Secretary of the Hanoi municipal Party Committee Hoang Trung Hai, encouraged recruits from Thanh Tri district, Hanoi, to successfully fulfill their tasks at their units. Notably, many of them volunteered to do the military service .
The same day, Hanoi’s districts of Me Linh and Long Bien completed the handover of local recruits to military units.
* General Luong Cuong, member of the Secretariat of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Member of the Central Military Commission, and Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People’s Army (VPA), attended a meeting in Dan Phuong district, Hanoi, to hand over local recruits to military units.

The event was attended by Chairman of Hanoi municipal People's Committee Nguyen Duc Chung.
All recruits of the district met the political, educational and health standards. Delegates at the event urged the new recruits to successfully fulfill all assigned tasks.
* Senior Lieutenant General Be Xuan Truong, Deputy Defense Minister, attended a ceremony to hand over recruits to the military in Tran Yen town, Yen Bai province, and encouraged them to fulfill their tasks at their units.
* On the same day, Vinh Phuc province held a similar ceremony to see off 2,000 local youths who will serve in military and public security units. The event was attended by Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Phuong Nam, Deputy Chief of the VPA’s General Staff; Ms. Hoang Thi Thuy, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee; and Major General Trinh Van Quyet, Political Commissar of Military Region 2.
* Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong, Deputy Chief of the VPA’s General Staff, met and encouraged recruits to do the national service in Thanh Liem district, Ha Nam province. On the same day, all localities of the province completed the handover of their recruits to military units.
* Senior Lieutenant General Pham Ngoc Minh, Deputy Chief of the VPA’s General Staff, joined a ceremony in Can Tho city to hand over recruits to military units.
According to reports, all localities completed the enlistment drive. Among the recruits of localities of Military Region 9, 995 hold university and college degrees while 133 are Party members.
* On the morning of February 20, all provinces of Military Region 5 held recruit handover ceremonies. Major General Ngo Minh Tien, Deputy Chief of the VPA’s General Staff, attended a ceremony in Buon Ma Thuot city, Dak Lak province.
All enlisted local youths meet health criteria and are willingly to do military service. Many of them are from ethnic minority groups.
* Similarly, solemn see-off ceremonies were also held in localities under Military Regions 1, 3 and 4, such as Bac Kan, Thai Nguyen, Cao Bang, Thanh Hoa, Quang Binh and Thua Thien - Hue provinces and Hai Phong city.
* Districts in Ho Chi Minh City held various activities, such as artistic exchanges and gift presentation, to encourage recruits to best complete their assigned missions.
