Gen. Vinh and Mong Cai Int'l Border Gate Station's officers

This was stated by Gen. Vinh, who is also a member of the Party Central Committee, permanent member of the Central Military Commission and Deputy Minister of National Defense, at his working session with Mong Cai International Border Gate Station under the Quang Ninh provincial Border Guard on February 28.

At the working session, Gen. Vinh spoke highly of the good task performance of the border guards in general and of Quang Ninh provincial Border Guard’s cadres and troops in particular, especially in firmly defending national sovereignty over the border and border security; ensuring smooth operation at border gates, abiding law; fighting crimes; and carrying out people-to-people exchanges.

Gen. Vinh also laid stress on the unit’s innovative measures to strengthening the border-related external affairs work, such as border station-twinning activities, periodical meetings, cultural exchanges, hotline establishment to solve emerging problems, joint anti-terrorism exercise, coordination in crime prevention and control. Such measures helped boost mutual trust and closer ties between Vietnam and the neighboring country’s border forces and made people and tourists feel secure.

Moreover, the Quang Ninh provincial border troops actively cooperated with the neighboring country’s relevant forces to defend the shared border and support people in border areas in building friendly ties and boosting socio-economic development, trade, tourism in border areas of the two countries.

To fulfill its missions in the time to come, Gen. Vinh urged the Quang Ninh provincial Border Guard Command and Mong Cai International Border Gate Station to continue apprehending their missions and diplomatic policies of the Parties, States and Armies of the two countries.

Besides, they should seriously enforce law while welcoming and completing procedures for people and tourists in a civilized, elegant, friendly and safe manner; often checking and finalizing regulations; listening to opinions from local Party committees, authorities, people, tourists and the neighboring country’s units; improving their personnel’s expertise; and drawing lessons on time to improve their working efficiency.
