During the meeting, Ms. Mai acknowledged and praised achievements recorded by young border troops in general and the honored in particular and believed that the vanguard force of the command would preserve and promote glorious tradition of the force, uphold their firm political stance, and their pure virtues.
She hoped that border youths will thoroughly grasp their heavy responsibilities, assist each other in carrying out missions, and be determined to undertake and fulfill all missions for territorial integrity, border security, people’s peace, contributing to building a strong force and deserving the trust of the Party, Uncle Ho, and people.
According to Major Doan Ngoc Bau, Head of the Youth Board of the Border Guard Command, over the past time, border youths have promoted their vanguard role, their ingenuity, creativeness, and courage to effectively fulfill such missions as mass mobilization, patrol, border protection, crime prevention, studying, and social activities, contributing to firmly protecting national sovereignty, security in border areas, and people’s happiness.
More significantly, they provided assistance to 2,844 needy students in border areas and on islands.
On the occasion, the commission’s leader congratulated the border troops on the 28th anniversary of the whole people’s border guard day and the 58th founding anniversary of the force and presented gifts to the honored officers.
