Ha Giang province’s defensive area exercise successfully concludes

The closing ceremony was attended by Military Region 2’s Commander Lieutenant General Pham Hong Chuong, Military Region 2’s Political Commissar Lieutenant General Pham Duc Duyen, Acting Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Nguyen Manh Dung, and members of the steering committee of the drill.

Reportedly, the nearly two-day long exercise was implemented as scheduled with three stages, namely shifting the province’s armed forces to higher combat readiness posture, shifting the locality into the national defense posture, and preparing for and conducting defensive combat, with the participation of forces from the province’s Vi Xuyen district and Vi Xuyen town.

The participating forces seriously followed the set plan, promoted creativeness, and maintained safety during the exercise.

Addressing the closing ceremony, Military Region 2’s Commander Lieutenant General Pham Hong Chuong acknowledged and praised the efforts of the participating forces. He urged local authorities to continue to embrace higher levels’ resolutions on military-defense missions and defensive area building.

The steering committee concluded that the exercise was successful, meeting all set requirements and ensuring absolute safety for personnel and vehicles.

Also at the ceremony, collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in organizing and participating in the exercise were presented with Military Region 2 and Ha Giang province’s certificates of merit.
