In 2024, the Party and political work was implemented close to the functions, tasks and reality, comprehensively completing regular and unexpected missions. Agencies and units strictly implemented the resolutions, directives, conclusions, and regulations of the Party, Central Military Commission, and Ministry of National Defense; and synchronously deployed solutions to raise the quality and efficiency of the political and ideological work. Information dissemination work was intensified, promptly guiding public opinions and addressing new, complex, and sensitive issues. The military consistently maintained its core role, taking the lead in the combat to protect the ideological foundation of the Party.

The agencies and units worked together to successfully organize activities to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory, the 80th founding anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Army, the 35th anniversary of the Whole-people Defense Festive Day, and the 80th founding anniversary of the GDP, receiving high appreciation from leaders of the Party and State, people and international friends.
The whole military strictly implemented the resolutions, directives, conclusions, and regulations on personnel work; gave recommendations on effectively arranging personnel to meet the organizational and personnel adjustments for the building of an elite, compact, strong, and modern military; conducted programs to build gratitude houses, eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses; carried out policies on social insurance and health insurance and mass mobilization activities in a creative and effective manner.

Addressing the conference, Sr. Lt. Gen. Trinh Van Quyet applauded the outcomes obtained by the agencies and units in 2024, requiring them to focus on innovating ideological and political education; implement the directives and instructions of higher levels in line with the real situation, requirements, functions, and tasks of each agency and unit, while strengthening digital transformation; promoting law dissemination and education, and effectively conducting the “Determined to Win” emulation movement and peak emulation campaigns in celebration of major events and Party congresses at all levels.
They should concentrate on directing the party committees at all levels to prepare and successfully organize the Party congresses in accordance with procedures and principles; strictly implement the Law on Amendment and Supplement of Several Articles of the Law on the Officers of the Vietnam People's Army; continue to increase the efficiency of mass mobilization, closely follow situations and further tighten military-civilian solidarity; effectively implement the Party and political work in training and combat readiness work; as well as offering proposals to higher levels to conduct policies for troops and their relatives, carry out gratitude activities, particularly on major events in 2025.
