In May, the Party and political work closely followed military and defense tasks, the Military Party Committee’s building tasks, and the practical situation while the proposed contents, programs and plans were comprehensively implemented and completed.
Accordingly, the GDP promptly conducted political education, disseminated information to raise public awareness of new issues; organized a ceremony in celebration of the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory with a series of emulation drives, cultural and art programs, scientific seminars, among others, which were highly appreciated by the Party, State, people and international friends.
Besides, the GDP also directed military press agencies to boost dissemination work on military, defense, and defense external affairs, and worked with central press agencies to carry out activities to mark the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory, and prepare for the 80th anniversary of the foundation day of the Vietnam People’s Army, 35th anniversary of the whole people’s defense festive day, and the 80th anniversary of the foundation day of the GDP; and strictly follow resolutions, directives, conclusions, and instructions of the Central Military Commission (CMC) on Party building work, to name but a few.
In acknowledgement of the GDP’s task achievements in May, on behalf of the GDP leaders, Gen. Quyet hailed considerable efforts of troops in the whole military during task implementation. Regarding Party and political tasks in June, the GDP leader requested GDP’s affiliated units to boost political education and encourage troops to believe in the leadership of the Party, State, CMC, and Defense Ministry so as to ready to perform any assigned tasks.
In addition, the GDP’s affiliated units should make preparation for a conference to review the three-year implementation of Conclusion 01 on implementing Politburo’s Directive 05 on “Promoting studying and following President Ho Chi Minh's thought, ethics, and lifestyle”; the two-year implementation of CMC’s Resolution 847 on bringing into play fine virtues of “Uncle Ho’s soldiers” and resolving to combat individualism in the new context; a conference to disseminate information on national sea and islands and the “Fund for Vietnam’s sea and islands” in 2024; a ceremony to mark the 99th anniversary of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press Day, and more.
