GDP leader inspects Capital Command
PANO – Permanent member of the Central Military Commission and Director of the General Department of Politics (GDP), Senior Lieutenant General Luong Cuong had an inspecting mission to the Hanoi Capital Command on March 9.
During the mission, the top leader of the GDP listened to the command’s report on its task performance over the past year and the first two months of 2017. Over that period of time, the military command has well fulfilled its assigned military-defense missions. This has contributed to promoting the synergy of the whole political system in building the whole people’s defense disposition in close relation with the whole people’s security posture.
In more details, the military command has well maintained and implemented combat readiness posture, actively got hold of the locality’s situation and coordinated with other forces to keep secure social order and maintain political security, ensured absolute safety for important political events held in the capital city. The Party and political work of the command has been comprehensively carried out with quality, enhancing combat and leadership capacity of Party committees at all levels as well as political stance for all troops in implementing missions. The command is committed to resolutely fulfilling the core military-defense missions this year.
Senior Lieutenant General Luong Cuong hailed the command for its innovative methods in carrying out missions and making proposals to the city’s Party Committee and People’s Committee in leading and directing the implementation of military-defense missions of the locality.
The GDP leader required the unit’s Party Committee and Chain-of-command to strictly grasp and implement resolutions and decisions of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense and carry out missions with firm determination. He stressed that the Party Committee and Chain-of-command should take the lead in carrying out the Resolution of the 4th Plenum of the 12th Party Central Committee on Party revamping. The military command should also promote recent achievements to continue making sound proposals to higher levels.
At the end of the visit, the general assigned responsible agencies to considering the recommendations and proposals of the command.
