Lieutenant General Do Xuan Tung and the delegation expressed their deep respect and admiration for late Prime Minister Pham Van Dong, an outstanding disciple of President Ho Chi Minh, a brilliant leader of the Vietnamese revolution, a great cultural figure, an exceptional diplomat, and the person who made tremendous contribution to the cause of national liberation, construction, and defense cause.

Lieutenant General Do Xuan Tung also voiced his admiration for the revolutionary life of the late Prime Minister and affirmed the delegation’s commitment to following his example, promoting unity and collective strength in building a revolutionary, regular, elite, and modern military, contributing to the national construction and defense cause in the new context.

The Prime Minister Pham Van Dong Memorial Site, located in his hometown of Duc Tan commune, Mo Duc district, was officially recognized as a national historical and cultural site in 2006. Covering an area of over 47,000 sq.m., the site includes a reception hall, screening room, exhibition space, and library. It currently preserves and displays more than 1,500 documents, artifacts, and photos related to the life and career of Prime Minister Pham Van Dong.

The site has become a meaningful destination for visitors, rich in educational value, helping to instill and foster revolutionary traditions of the heroic land of Quang Ngai.
