The week-long exhibition has four major sections focusing on the Vietnamese women’s tradition of combat against foreign invaders, Vietnamese women in the resistance wars against the French colonialists and US imperialists, and Vietnamese women in the national development and defense cause.
Apart from that, other typical images of President Ho Chi Minh and other Vietnamese State, Party and military leaders with women’s activities were also showcased.
Addressing the opening ceremony, Senior Colonel Nguyen Tien Hai, Deputy Curator of the Museum, stressed that the exhibition aims to recall the glorious tradition, honor and express gratitude to the great devotion and sacrifice of Vietnamese women in general and of Vietnamese military women in particular in the past and at present. It also helps encourage troops and people, especially younger generations, bring into full play the revolutionary tradition, and promote patriotism, national pride and high determination to firmly safeguard the Fatherland in the current period.
