In three days, ending on April 7, 143 cadres and workers in charge of staff work from the corps’ affiliated agencies and units will compete in two events, including document compilation, and knowledge of combat staff work.

Addressing the opening ceremony, Major General Tran Trung Hoa emphasized that the competition aims to evaluate participating units’ outcomes in operational training. Based on that, the corps will study, summarize, assess, and add documents and make decisions on the implementation of combat staff contents for the engineering force while making preparation for combat and routine duties. The corps will later set goals, make requirements, orientations, and devise measures to further improve the quality of training, combat readiness work, and exercises in the whole corps.

The commander of the Engineering Corps asked the organizers to observe regulations and ensure safety during the competition; relevant agencies and units to work closely with one another to well perform the guarantee work; the jury to make assessment in an honest, fair, and accurate manner.

In addition, General Hoa asked the competitors to strictly observe military discipline, the organizers’ regulations, overcome difficulties, and be determined to achieve the highest results.

He hoped that the achievements gained in the previous competition will be promoted in this year’s contest to help raise training and combat readiness quality in general and combat staff capacity in particular of cadres and workers at all levels under the corps.
