Duty handover ceremony held for former and new commanders of Hanoi Capital Command

After reviewing the handover document, General Phan Van Giang and Comrade Bui Thi Minh Hoai agreed on its contents. On behalf of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense, Defense Minister Giang congratulated Lieutenant General Nguyen Quoc Duyet on his new position as Chief Inspector of the Ministry of National Defense, and Major General Dao Van Nhan on his appointment as Commander of the Hanoi Capital Command.

General Giang directed the Hanoi Capital Command to quickly complete all necessary procedures to enable the newly appointed leader to assume his duties without delay.

He also requested that Major General Dao Van Nhan, along with the command’s leadership, effectively direct the unit in fulfilling its assigned missions and maintaining a firm grasp on the local situation to provide timely recommendations to Hanoi's authorities.

In addition, he emphasized the need to continue building strong armed forces that can meet mission requirements in the current context, ensure combat readiness, and closely coordinate with other forces to maintain political security and safeguard major political events in the area.

Speaking at the event, Comrade Bui Thi Minh Hoai urged the Hanoi Capital Command and Major General Nhan to thoroughly understand the Party’s military and political directives and actively advise the Hanoi Municipal Party Committee and the People’s Committee on military and defense matters.
