Deputy Defense Minister works with Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Protection Command
PANO – A mission of the Ministry of National Defense, led by its Deputy Minister Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien, worked with the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Protection Command on August 6 in Hanoi.

At the working session, members of the visiting mission were briefed on the unit’s task performance in the first half of 2021. Since the beginning of this year, the command has completed the organization of the State-level Science Council for long-term preservation and protection of President Ho Chi Minh's body in the 2021-2025 tenure. The unit has also outlined a plan to restore the mausoleum in 2021, submitted another plan to raise the effectiveness of the dissemination of the mausoleum-related information in the 2021-2025 period and the years to come to the Ministry of National Defense for approval, and complete a dossier to seek the state’s recognition of K9 as a national relic site.
In the first six months of this year, together with protecting the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Complex and the Heroic Martyrs' Monument, the unit has hosted 230 visitors and dozens of delegations at different levels to pay tribute to President Ho Chi Minh and fallen soldiers.
Speaking at the working session, Senior Lieutenant General Chien praised the achievements obtained by the command over the past six months. He asked the unit to continue focusing on completing its set plan in 2021 and raising the quality of services to leave good impression on domestic and foreign guests who come to pay homage to President Ho Chi Minh and fallen soldiers.

The deputy defense minister also requested the unit to accelerate the progress of key projects and focus on building a healthy Party organization and exemplary unit. While implementing its regular missions, the unit should strictly observe the COVID-19 pandemic prevention and control regulations to protect their personnel from SARS-CoV-2.
The Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Protection Command should enhance the application of IT and new technologies to their task implementation and continue applying technological advances to its preservation, management and dissemination work, General Chien added.
He also tasked relevant agencies to consider the unit’s proposals and make recommendation for higher levels to issue policies to handle them as regulated.
