Reportedly, the Vietnam Coast Guard Command has invested in building its force in terms of organization, infrastructure, equipment and modern technical materiel. Meanwhile, the unit’s Party Committee has always considered providing technical services an important task, determining the quality of their task performance. Therefore, they have attached much importance to professional and technical work.

Over the past time, the coast guard force has overcome difficulties and well ensured technical services with outstanding achievements. In addition, they have also taken part in search and rescue missions, international cooperation, preventing marine pollution, and ensuring maritime security, contributing to firmly protecting the national sovereignty over sea and islands.

On touring the unit, General Vinh hailed its preparation for the inspection. He also acknowledged the unit’s achievements over the past time, especially in ensuring technical services.

The deputy defense minister noted that the Party and State have provided modern equipment for the coast guard force so as they would meet all task requirements in the current context. Basically, the force has made great efforts to master the modern equipment.

General Vinh requested that in the coming time, the unit should overcome difficulties and shortcomings to ensure technical services for their task performance, promote equipment maintenance, manage scientific and technical work while strictly assessing the technical situations and conditions in their unit to build appropriate plans, and strengthening the application of information technology and digitization in technical management, to name but a few.

Regarding proposals of the Vietnam Coast Guard Command related to technical work, General Vinh directed the MND’s functional organs to study and report to the MND leaders.

The deputy defense minister expressed his belief that the unit would overcome all obstacles to build the strong coast guard force, contributing to fulfilling all assigned missions.
