The one and half-day long exercise was implemented as scheduled with three stages, namely shifting the district’s armed force to higher combat readiness posture, shifting the locality into the national defense posture, and preparing for and conducting defensive combat.

The participating forces seriously followed the set plan, promoted creativeness, and maintained safety during the exercise.
Addressing the closing ceremony, Senior Colonel To Quang Hanh, Commanding Officer of the Son La Provincial Military Command, acknowledged and praised the efforts of the participating forces. He urged Quynh Nhai district’s authorities to continue to embrace higher levels’ resolutions on military-defense missions and defensive area building, as well as Resolution No.28-NQ/TW issued on October 25, 2013 by the Party Central Committee on national strategy for national protection in the current context.

In addition, the officer required the local armed forces to build concrete combat plans, conduct regular training, contributing to maintaining combat readiness in all circumstances.
At the closing ceremony, the Son La Provincial People’s Committee handed over certificates of merit to five groups and nine individuals participating in the exercise.
* The same day, the Military Region 4’s Steering Committee for defensive area exercise organization held a conference to review the outcomes of Quang Tri Province’s defensive area and civil defense exercise. Accordingly, the exercise was undertaken successfully with absolute safety, contributing to raising awareness and improving capabilities of the local authorities and armed forces.
