In the two-day exercise of Binh Phuoc province, held by Military Region 7’s exercise steering board, participating units and localities embraced their duties, made thorough preparations on documents, plans, materials, weapons and equipment. They well performed the shifting of combat readiness posture to the defense status, closely coordinated with each other to complete all contents and situations, observed discipline, and ensured safety.

The exercise helped upgrade leadership and management capability of local party committees and authorities in shifting combat readiness statuses, handling defense and security situations, and promote combat coordination among forces in the defensive area.

Based on the lessons drawn, Binh Phuoc province will work out measures to improve the quality of training and combat readiness of units, adjust combat plans and build firm military disposition in the defensive area.

* The defensive area exercise of Thai Binh province was divided into three stages. In the first stage, the armed forces shifted to higher combat readiness status, localities to defense status. In the second and third stages, participants prepared and practiced defensive operations.

With good preparations, the exercise ended successfully. Practiced scenarios were close to the locality’s real conditions and each agency and unit’s functions and tasks. Through this field training exercise, leadership capacity, advisory role, preparatory work, and defensive operations were improved, contributing to developing Thai Binh city into a firm defensive area.

Twelve groups and 11 individuals with excellent achievements in the exercise were awarded at the event.
