During the visit, General Giang and delegates were briefed on the unit’s task performance over the past time. Particularly, it has provided timely advice for the Chief of the General Staff and defense leaders to direct relevant activities and the military vehicle registration while maintaining the measurement and technical standard regulations.

The department’s affiliated units also promoted scientific research, enhanced the capabilities of the technical staff, and regularly checked the conditions of weapons and equipment in the whole-military.

The department has successfully organized Party congresses at all levels.

Senior Lieutenant General Phan Van Giang pays a working visit to the Department of Standards, Measurements and Quality on October 21.

At the event, General Giang acknowledged the outstanding achievements and proactiveness of the department’s troops and employees. He urged the unit to continue embracing higher levels’ instructions and resolutions, maintaining technical regulations, educating troops’ ideology and ensuring their physical and spiritual lives.

The Chief of the General Staff required the department to promote proactiveness and creativeness to fulfill their assigned missions in the time to come.

* The same day, Senior Lieutenant General Le Huy Vinh, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army, visited and met with the leadership of Missile Regiment 213 of Air Defense Division 363 of the Air Defense - Air Force Service.

General Vinh inspected the regiment’s combat readiness capabilities, particularly in protecting crucial targets in its stationed area, including Mong Duong Thermo-power Plant.

* Another delegation of the General Staff, led by its Deputy Chief Lieutenant General Ngo Minh Tien, inspected the task performance of the Commando Officer Training School of the Commando Corps on October 21.

General Tien reviewed the school’s training programs and academic documents, while checking its troops’ shooting capabilities.

Speaking at the visit, the Deputy Chief of the General Staff required the school to continue implementing training programs, improving teachers’ professionalism, and ensuring safety during shooting tests.
