As a force advancing toward modernization, the Air Defense - Air Force Service has over the past years been invested in with various new-generation technical equipment and innovative and modernized assets. This has provided favorable conditions for the service to enhance overall quality and combat strength to meet the requirements and tasks of managing and firmly protecting the nation's sky.

However, alongside these advantages, the service has faced numerous difficulties and challenges because it manages a large and diverse number of both old and new technical equipment. Particularly, the technical assurance for new-generation equipment is quite complicated. Alternative sources of materials, especially special types, are scarce.

Over the past time, the Air Defense - Air Force Service has led and directed its forces, primarily the technical sector, to effectively carry out technical work, ensuring timely and adequate provision of technical equipment for training, combat readiness, flight management, and urgent tasks. Technical operations have seen significant innovation and creativity; programs, goals, and indicators related to this work have generally met or exceeded the set plans; the system of factories, technical assurance facilities, and warehouses has been planned, constructed, upgraded, and gradually modernized; and scientific research, training, and technical instruction have been prioritized and achieved good results.

Concluding the meeting, Gen. Vinh highly appreciated the outcomes in ensuring technical supplies for the task implementation of agencies and units under the service over the past time. He urged the service to continue strengthening the leadership and direction of party committees and chains-of-command at all levels regarding technical work; to implement all aspects of technical work synchronously and effectively to meet the requirements for building a modernized service.

The deputy defense minister also urged the service to pay attention to researching and advising the Ministry of National Defense to allocate funds to repair and create replacement materials for certain modern equipment to meet training and combat readiness tasks.
