Defense intelligence sector receives noble order
PANO – The General Department of Defense Intelligence (GDDI) under the Ministry of National Defense on March 10 held a ceremony to celebrate the 70 years of the Day when President Ho Chi Minh sent a letter to the defense intelligence sector (March 10, 1948-2018) and to receive the First-class Feat-of-Arms Order.
Defense Minister, General Ngo Xuan Lich attended the event. The ceremony also saw the participation of Lieutenant General Do Can, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People’s Army.

Over the past 70 years, the defense intelligence sector has followed President Ho Chi Minh’s thought and guidelines. The whole unit has made great efforts to well fulfill all assigned missions.
On behalf of the State President, General Lich presented the First-class Feat-of-Arms Order to the unit. Addressing the event, the Defense Minister acknowledged great achievements of the sector over the past years.
He also affirmed that the contents of President Ho Chi Minh in his letter sent to the sector many years before are considered the guiding light for task performance of the sector.

General Lich underscored that to fulfill assigned missions, the whole unit should educate its troops to raise professionalism and follow the guidelines of President Ho Chi Minh. Especially, the GDDI has to seriously implement regulations and leadership of the Party, State and military and bring into play the combined strength in carrying out all assigned missions.
He expressed his hope that the Party organizations and leaderships at all levels under the GDDI would actively offer advice to higher levels while focusing on building comprehensively strong units and further strengthening regularity and discipline to fulfill all assigned missions.
