PANO – General Department II held a ceremony on July 29th to receive the Military Feat of Arms Order from the State President and certificate of merit from the Prime Minister for its outstanding achievements in implementing special missions, making significant contributions to building the army, strengthening national defense and Fatherland protection.

Addressing the ceremony, on behalf of the leaders of the State, Party, the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army, Lieutenant General Phan Van Giang, pinned the order’s insignia on the general department’s “Determined to win” military flag and presented certificates of merit to the General Department, and its outstanding groups and individuals.
General Giang also asked the general department to continue seriously implementing the Party’s resolutions and directives, especially the Resolutions of the 12th National Party Congress and of the 10th Military Party Congress while effectively improving its troops’ political stance and task performance.
On this occasion, for its missions in 2016, General Department II launched an emulation drive in celebration of the coming 71st anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day 2-9, and 71st anniversary of the Vietnam defense intelligence force's traditional day (October 25th 1945).
