Defense festival attracts 900 participants
PANO – The Military Command of District 10 of Ho Chi Minh City kicked off a defense festival in 2022 on April 3 at Ho Chi Minh City University of Science and Technology.
Major General Le Ngoc Hai, Deputy Commander of Ho Chi Minh City Command, and leaders of the Party Committee and People’s Committee of District 10 attended the event.
The one-week long event attracts the participation of 900 troops and staff of agencies and units in the district.
During the festival, participants will compete in different categories, including line-up regulation performance for men, military swimming, CKC rifle shooting, AK shooting lesson 1 for militia-women, aerial target shooting for infantry troops, and AK shooting lesson 4 for militiamen. A competition for commanding officers of ward military commands will be also held.
After the opening ceremony, participants competed in AK assembly and disassembly event. They well performed their skills while ensuring absolute safety for personnel and equipment. All of them demonstrated their willingness to learn new knowledge and experience to raise their agencies’ and units’ quality of combat readiness training in the coming time.
Through the competition, the organizers expect to help local Party Committees and authorities to accurately evaluate the quality of training of the militia force. The results of the event will help localities to roll out suitable leadership methods, contributing to raising the quality of training and combat readiness and strengthening local armed forces.
