A Dak Nong border guard instructs people in Thuan An border commune how to wear facemasks to prevent COVID-19

The provincial Border Guard Command also built 20 checkpoints and ten mobile teams to safeguard the borderline, land markers and protect national sovereignty, while preventing illegal entry and exit via borders.

They have distributed leaflets to each household and instructed locals on wearing facemasks, taking care of their health, and carrying out other preventive measures.

According to First Lieutenant Ngo Xuan Thang from the Border Post of Bu Prang Border Gate, despite difficulties and hardship, the border guards are always determined to prevent people from escaping from quarantine areas and illegally entering the province.

Since July, the provincial Border Guard Command’s affiliates have printed and distributed 10,000 leaflets and instructions for people in seven border communes, thereby raising their awareness of disease prevention measures and helping them to feel at ease and encouraging them to join hands with the border guard force in the Southern Central Highlands in the COVID-19 prevention efforts.
