Art exchange highlights military women
PANO – The Board for Women Advancement under the Ministry of National Defense held an art exchange themed “Military women confident and shining” on December 5. The event marked the 75th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam People’s Army and the 30th anniversary of the Whole-People’s Defense Festive Day.
Lieutenant General Le Hien Van, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics and Deputy Head of the Board, attended the event.
The exchange included three parts, namely “heroic, indomitable, faithful and clever,” “military women confident and shining,” and “joint rhythms of marching steps.”
At the event, delegates enjoyed time-honored songs performed by popular artists and listened to guests share stories about the development of women’s movements and the progress of women advancement and gender equality within the Defense Ministry over the past time.
The program is seen as a practical activity in response to the national action month on gender equality and prevention of violence against women and girls in 2019, contributing to promoting the advancement of women and gender equality in the military.
