Army Corps 3 holds live-fire exercise
PANO – Army Corps 3 conducted a live-fire exercise for troops of Division 10 on November 12 at Ea H’Leo Shooting Range in Ea H’Leo district, Dak Lak province.
The exercise, themed “Reinforced infantry battalions attack enemy in mountainous terrains,” gathered troops of Infantry Battalion 8 of Regiment 66 of Division 10 and a company of Armored Brigade 273. The affiliated forces included a company of 100mm mortars, a company of SPG-9 Kopye, and a company of 12.7mm machine guns of Regiment 66. The supporting units were Artillery Brigade 40, Air Defense Brigade 234, and Air Force Division 372 of the Air Defense - Air Force Service.

According to the scenario, an enemy mechanized infantry company, which occupied Pleiku City of Gia Lai province, was stopped by the Gia Lai Provincial Armed Forces when moving to Buon Ma Thuot city. They withdrew to Heights 375, 714, and 567.
Battalion 8’s missions were to collaborate with Regiment 66 and relevant units to attack and decimate the enemy. Thanks to thorough preparations and training, the live-fire exercise concluded successfully, meeting all the set targets with absolute safety for troops and equipment.
The exercise contributed to enhancing all-level commanders’ capabilities and collaboration among affiliated units, thus heightening combat readiness for troops of Army Corps 3.
