Armored Corps reviews participation in Army Games 2022
PANO - The Armored Corps held a conference on September 19 to review the Vietnamese tank contingent’s training and participation in the International Army Games 2022 (Army Games 2022).

The event was chaired by the corps’ Commander Major General Do Dinh Thanh and attended by its Political Commissar Major General Nguyen Duc Dinh, Deputy Director of the Department of Military Training under the General Staff Major General Tran Dang Thanh, and representatives of the Vietnamese tank contingent.
Reports delivered at the event revealed that after the Ministry of National Defense issued the directive on Vietnam’s participation in Army Games 2022, the Armored Corps’ Party Committee and Chain-of-Command directed the building of documents and a training plan, the formation of the organizing panel, and selection of members to the team. The corps also made thorough preparation in terms of personnel, weapons, equipment, and training facilities to serve the team’s training.

During the training, the participating team focused on practicing the key contents in accordance with the competition regulations. During their participation in the games, the Vietnamese troops stayed united, demonstrated high determination, exerted utmost efforts, and had a reasonable strategy to successfully complete the assigned tasks.
From the obtained results and acquired experience, Major General Do Dinh Thanh said that it is necessary to clearly identify subjective and objective factors that affected the team’s training quality and competition results. He added that the corps should assess the team members’ ability, thus developing suitable detailed measures to raise the quality of training of the tank team to participate in the next edition of the games.
