At the meeting, Lt. Gen. Nguyen Van Gau reported to Gen. Nguyen Quyet on task performance of the military over the past time, especially the Party and political work. On the occasion of the approaching lunar New Year, Gen. Gau wished Gen. Quyet good health and happiness.

Gen. Quyet wished all troops in the military a cozy, safe and economical Tet and hoped that each cadre and party member will promote responsibility, solidarity, unity to build a healthy, strong Party, and stronger Vietnam and Vietnam People’s Army.

* On the same day, Deputy Chief of the General Staff Lt. Gen. Pham Truong Son checked the combat readiness posture at the Quang Binh provincial Military and Border Guard Commands.

He highly praised the two units for their achievements in implementing military-defense tasks and border work in 2023. He also highly appreciated their pro-active preparations for Tet celebrations with specific plans, rehearsals of combat readiness scenarios, close coordination with relevant forces to follow situations in the stationed locality, visits and Tet gift presentation to policy beneficiaries, national contributors, and people in border areas and on islands, as well as welfare for their troops.
