After being briefed on the activities of the PAN’s bureau in the Northwestern region, Lt. Gen. Nguyen Van Gau highly appreciated the PAN for choosing Dien Bien Phu to open its new bureau, requiring the PAN to direct its bureaus, particularly the bureau in the Northwestern region to actively coordinate with local authorities and press agencies to promote dissemination of information about the locality’s activities, focusing on the armed forces’ tasks and socio-economic development associated with ensuring defense and security, among others.

For the time being, the PAN should pay much attention to boosting effective and comprehensive dissemination about activities in celebration of the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory.

* On the same day, a delegation of the General Staff, led by Deputy Chief Senior Lieutenant General Phung Si Tan, visited and checked the progress of the construction of Dien Bien District Secondary and Primary School in Dien Bien province.

Accordingly, the school is located in Thanh Xuong commune with a total investment of VND 120 billion, funded by the Ministry of National Defense.

On carefully checking all sections, Gen. Tan praised the efforts of Military Region 2 as the project’s investor, the management board, and the contractor in overcoming difficulties and ensuring the progress of the project.

The GS deputy chief underscored that Dien Bien District Primary and Secondary School is one of the key projects to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory, the 80th founding anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Army, and the 35th anniversary of the Whole People’s Border Defense Festive Day, contributing to raising the quality of teaching and learning of Dien Bien province’s education sector.

Concluding the visit, Gen. Tan required relevant units to further coordinate and speed up the progress of the project while ensuring its quality and absolute safety in all aspects.

* The GDP kicked off the 7th competition for good preschool teachers in the military on April 10 at Factory Z121, with the attendance of GDP Deputy Chief Lieutenant General Le Quang Minh.

The event saw the participation of 38 teachers from 10 units under the Central Military Commission. They will compete in 4 contents.

Addressing the event, Lt. Gen. Le Quang Minh underlined that the competition aims to evaluate the capability of educational managers and preschool teachers in the whole military and encourage them to further raise their expertise to meet the task requirements in the new situation.

The competition is an occasion for leaders and commanders of functional agencies and units to assess the quality of teaching of preschool teachers in the military, thereby building training plans and organizing refresher courses for them to improve their capabilities.

As planned, the closing and awarding ceremonies will take place on April 12.
