The gifts included two motorized and 10 battery-powered disinfectant sprayers, 100,000 medical face masks, 500 kg of Cloramin-B, and 1,000 bottles of hand sanitizers.

At the ceremony, officer Nam expressed his sympathy to the Cambodian side over the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic in their country.

He also hailed the great efforts of the RCN in helping Cambodian armed forces and the government contain the pandemic and ensure national security.

Nam laid stress on the good traditional friendship between the two sides and hoped that the gifts will support the Cambodian government and people in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

For the Cambodian side, Vice Admiral Non Sophat thanked the VPN for its timely assistance to the RCN in COVID-19 prevention and control.

He noted that the gifts have contributed to deepening the friendship between the two countries, and the comprehensive cooperation between the two countries’ navies, armed forces and peoples.

On the occasion, the Saigon Newport Corporation offered 10,000 medical face masks to troops at the Border Station of Moc Bai International Border Gate.
