Vietnamese young officers visit Royal Cambodian Army’s MR3

The delegation toured the MR3’s hall of fame to learn about the unit’s history, paid courtesy calls on, and held working sessions with the region’s leaders and young officers.

On behalf of MR3’s leaders, Major General Chhum Visal, Deputy Commander of the region, expressed his joy in welcoming the delegation. He emphasized that the visit is a practical activity to enhance ties between the two militaries’ younger generations and serves as an opportunity to exchange experiences in training and unit-building work.

Briefing the Vietnamese delegates on MR3, Major General Chhum Visal noted that it is a key unit tasked with protecting strategic areas. Over the past years, its officers and soldiers have successfully fulfilled defense missions and ensured local security.

Highly valuing the exchange program, Major General Chhum Visal affirmed that it helps educate youths on the traditional friendship, allowing young officers to build trust, share experiences, and establish long-lasting relationships. These efforts will actively contribute to consolidating Cambodia - Vietnam defense cooperation for regional peace, stability, and development.
