Vietnamese unit presents gifts to Cambodian armed forces
PANO – A mission of the Long An provincial Border Guard Command, led by Head of the Reconnaissance Division of the provincial Border Guard Command Senior Colonel Doan Van Diem, has met with and presented gifts to Cambodian troops and Overseas Vietnamese Associations of Cambodia’s Svay Rieng and Pray Veng provinces.

In particular, on May 12 and 13, the mission presented six gift packages, worth VND 120 million, to the Police Department, Military Sub-region, gendarme force, and the Overseas Vietnamese Associations of Svay Rieng and Pray Veng provinces. The deed aimed to share difficulties with the Cambodian armed forces and people who were strongly affected by natural disasters and diseases.
At the meeting, the two sides exchanged information related to their coordination in border management and protection. They hoped that in the coming time the Long An provincial Border Guard Command and the armed forces of Svay Rieng and Pray Veng provinces will continue sharing information and coordinating in managing and protecting border areas, preventing illegal border exit and entry, and combating the COVID-19 pandemic.
The participants also agreed to create favorable conditions for people living along the borderline to travel and develop economy, contributing to ensuring political security and public order in border areas.

In response, a representative of the Cambodian armed forces thanked the Long An provincial Border Guard Command for its support to the armed forces and people of Svay Rieng and Pray Veng provinces over the past time, especially its donation of medical supplies and necessities to assist the localities’ pandemic prevention and control effort.
