Vietnamese naval troops join friendly sports events in Vladivostock
PANO – Crewmembers on frigate 016-Quang Trung of Brigade 162 of the Vietnam People’s Navy competed in tug-of-war and volleyball with their peers on vessel Davao del Sur (LD-602) of the Philippines and from the Pacific Fleet of the Russian Navy on July 27.
This was part of activities of Vietnamese naval troops during their stay in Russia to participate in a fleet review to mark the 323rd Day of the Russian Navy in Vladivostok city, Russia.
The participating teams joyfully played sports together in the spirit of solidarity and friendship, creating a warm and friendly environment prior to the fleet review.

On the previous day, the mission of the Vietnam People’s Navy laid flowers at a complex in commemoration of feats of arms of the Pacific Fleet, and toured the Memorial Submarine S-56 Museum and the Museum of Pacific Fleet in the city.
The crew on the 016-Quang Trung held talks with their peers on Vessel 335 of the Pacific Fleet as well as received overseas Vietnamese in Vladivostock city.
On the evening of July 26, the mission hosted a Vietnam-Russia culinary and cultural festival on the frigate with the participation of Vietnamese Ambassador to Russia Ngo Duc Manh, representatives of Vladivostock city and the Pacific Fleet, and overseas Vietnamese and Vietnamese students in Russia.
