At the event, the two units reminisced about the special solidarity and friendship between Vietnam and Laos. They reviewed their coordination in managing and protecting the shared borderline over the past time.
Teachers and students of Huong Viet Primary and Secondary Schools in Huong Hoa district, Quang Tri province and Lako Ethnic Boarding Secondary School in Sepon district, Savannakhet province shared their experience in teaching and learning, and joined cultural and sports exchanges with other forces.

On this occasion, Huong Lap Border Post presented 300 blankets, 383 life jackets, 200 pairs of sandals, 800kg of rice, 150 bottles of fish sauce, and 50kg of sugar, with a total value of more than VND 120 million, to the people of Lako village cluster, Border Guard Company 321, the participating Vietnamese and Lao schools, and disadvantaged households in Huong Viet commune, and in Lako village cluster. CEA PROJECTS Co., Ltd. and the Thai Translators volunteer group were the donors of these gifts.
Senior Colonel Dinh Xuan Hung, Secretary and Political Commissar of the Quang Tri provincial Military Command, said that the command has paid due attention to caring Lao units to tighten the special solidarity and friendly ties between the two countries. Col. Hung highly praised such an exchange which was held by Huong Lap Border Post for the first time.

The exchange was significant to help strengthen the relations between the border protection forces of Vietnam and Laos and between the people of Huong Viet commune and Lako village cluster, and encourage participants to actively defend each country’s border security, maintain political security and social order and safety in border areas for economic development.
