Meanwhile, he expressed his hope that in the time to come, the two sides will continue to closely coordinate with each other in national border management and protection, crime prevention and combat in border areas, especially drug-related crimes, human trafficking, and illegal cross-border immigration activities.

Coming to the Mondulkiri provincial Military Sub-region, Col. Hung expressed his delight at the remarkable development of Cambodia and the sub-region, wishing the Cambodian people and the unit a joyful, healthy, and prosperous new year, with continued success in the time ahead.
For his part, Lt. Gen. San Kim Oeun, Chief of the Mondulkiri provincial Military Sub-region, hoped that both sides would enhance coordination in maintaining the integrity of the border marker system and borderline; and ensuring the safety and security of joint border demarcation teams of both countries, contributing to the building of a border of peace, friendship, cooperation and development.

In a warm atmosphere, the two sides held talks and reviewed the results of the coordination in law dissemination and education among people in border areas. In the coming time, they agreed to further strengthen information exchange; enhance coordination in joint border patrols to protect borderlines and border markers; boost friendship, cultural and sports exchange activities between the two armed forces and people on both sides of the border.
On the occasion, the delegation presented gifts to the Mondulkiri provincial Military Sub-region.
