Vietnamese and Lao border guard forces conduct bilateral patrol
PANO - Tri Le Border Post of the Nghe An provincial Border Guard Command, in collaboration with Border Guard Company 217 of the Houaphanh provincial Military Command of Laos, conducted bilateral patrol on April 1.
Overcoming challenging weather conditions and rugged terrain, the two patrol teams inspected the borderline and border markers along the shared Vietnam - Laos border section from markers 375 to 376.

During the patrol, both sides followed the steps and procedures outlined in the foreign affairs protocols, ensuring compliance with the agreed-upon plan. The teams also checked border markers to ensure their integrity, confirming that there were no risks of landslides or encroachment.
The two sides also exchanged information about the border situation in the area and agreed to continue strengthening joint patrols to prevent illegal border crossings, wildlife hunting, and to combat various criminal activities.
On this occasion, Tri Le Border Post presented gifts to Border Guard Company 217 of Laos.
