The Viet Nam-China International Trade Fair opens in Ha Giang 1 Ward, Tuyen Quang Province.

The six-day fair hosts more than 240 booths operated by companies from both countries, showcasing farm produce, medicinal herbs, machinery and equipment, consumer goods, handicrafts, and opportunities in investment, trade and tourism as well. It also enables Tuyen Quang to introduce its One Commune, One Product (OCOP) ecosystem, highland specialties, and potential for industrial and logistics development following recent administrative restructuring.

Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Sinh Nhat Tan affirmed that the neighboring countries share a deep-rooted history of cooperation. Even amid global economic volatility, two-way trade still posts positive growth and remains a bright spot in the bilateral ties.

The fair serves as a clear example of joint trade promotion efforts through an alternating hosting mechanism, he said, noting that beyond sustaining the tradition of cross-border trade, it also expands cooperation opportunities in logistics, warehousing, services, transport and tourism.

Representatives from Chuxiong Yi prefecture of Yunnan province and Baise city from Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of China commended Tuyen Quang’s role in facilitating cross-border trade, describing the fair as a bridge to increase trade volumes, market expansion and business collaboration.
