During the talk, both sides reviewed the results of cooperation content in 2022 and the first seven months of 2023, and exchanged views on cooperation orientations in the last months of this year and 2024.

The two departments gave advice to the two defense ministries about measures to deal with issues related to border and border landmarks, direct units and localities sharing the borderline to effectively implemented the agreement on regulations on the Vietnam-Cambodia border and border gates.

Also, the two sides should maintain and promote bilateral cooperation between the Vietnam Coast Guard and the Cambodia National Committee for Maritime Security while raising the efficiency in the management of activities at sea, especially fishing trawlers and fishermen, contributing to maintaining security and safety and creating bordering waters of peace, stability and cooperation between the two countries.

In the time to come, both sides agreed to accelerate information exchange in situation research, evaluation and forecast, provide timely advice to leaders of agencies at all levels on strategic guidelines and solutions to defeat the plots and tricks of hostile forces, and firmly protect independence, sovereignty, and national interests of each nation.
