Vietnam, RoK strive to tap potentials for defense cooperation
PANO – The Vietnam visit of a delegation from the Department of Logistics and Personnel Management of the Ministry of National Defense of the Republic of Korea (RoK) will help strengthen friendship, mutual understanding and trust between the two militaries.
This was stated by Senior Lieutenant General Pham Ngoc Minh, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army at the reception for the Korean visiting delegation, led by Major General Park Byoung Ki, on June 7 at the headquarters of the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense.
The host added that the visit will boost comprehensive defense cooperation among military units of the two countries and hope that Vietnam and the RoK will expand their practical cooperation in the fields of logistics and defense industry in the future.
For his part, Major General Park Byoung Ki thanked the Vietnamese side for the warm reception and stressed that although defense cooperation between Vietnamese and Korean militaries has been promoted over the past time in the context of rapid development of the Vietnam-RoK relations, it has yet to tap their huge potential for defense cooperation.
The guest also suggested deepening the two countries’ practical cooperation especially in the fields of their strength in the coming time.
